*Slight spoiler alert*I wanted to like this story. The description caught my attention because it reminded me of Corrupt by Penelope Douglas. And the first couple chapters hooked me, but as the story progressed I found myself losing interest. I finished it mostly because I hate not finishing a book and I hoped the MC would kick some ass. But that unfortunately didn't happen. I understand her feeling like she made mistakes in the past, and in a way felt like the brothers' wrath and vengeance was justified. But seriously? I wanted her to stand up for herself and show them that she would meet them blow for blow. Instead she was rather weepy and weak, and was more damsel in distress, which was very frustrating.The story development felt rushed, and the writing wasn't polished. I found multiple spelling errors, and the flow of the writing seemed to be lacking enough editing time. The characters felt two-dimentional, and I just wasn't invested in them.Unfortunately, I won't be continuing the series.
OMG! Holy crap! What a mind bending, spine tingling, intense read. Family rivals, lies and secrets have pushed two families to the brink and revenge is on the minds of the one family who had taken the brunt of Harlow’s family and now they are coming for her. Oliver, Sullivan and Bank’s have plans for Harlow and she has no idea what’s coming her way. These three have lost everything at the hands of her father and they won’t stop until they are sated with their revenge, but can they hide the feeling she stirs in them while they torment her? Can Harlow hide the feelings she is having when they touch her? So many lies have been told, lives shattered, can they all move on for it? Who can you trust, she has Shelby and Caroline to lean on or does she? There is someone out to get Harlow and it’s not just guys, everything she thought she knew about her life was a lie and now she may pay the price with her life. This book was outstanding! These two authors are on a roll in my eyes since they teamed up and I can’t wait to see what’s next with these four characters! I Highly recommend this book.
The Bishop brothers. Oldest to youngest, though not from my favorite. Oliver, Banks, and Sullivan. I don’t want to go into spoiler territory, so I’m not saying much on which one was wronged by Harlow, but my opinion they had due cause to be angry. Now if that’s reason for them to do what they’re about to do in this book? Mmm, I think not. Not by a long shot. But it wouldn’t be a good bully romance if they didn’t go a bit over the line. Or a lot over it.Harlow, that girl. I feel for her on more than one level. Not only is she what her parents made her (I hate her dad by the way) but she has to deal with the three Bishop brothers. Granted I kind of like them, but I kind of hate them as well. People should always know there’s more than one side to every story. So, why not listen to hers?It’s almost like a Romeo and Juliet type of rivalry thing going on. The parents are rivals and it trickles down to the kids. Then the kids feel obliged to be the same because it was ingrained in them. Taught to hate that person or family. And when the kid or kids, don’t feel that way, and things go to s**t for the kids and not the adults. They pay the price. Don’t think my comparison make this book like good old Leo’s book, because I assure you it is not. By far. It is, however, very good, very wicked, and very much worth the read. Most definitely recommend this one.
I didn't really know what to expect when I started When Rivals Fall, all I knew was that there were 3 alphaholes in this book and I love alphaholes!!The Bishop's and the Lockwoods are rival families, set out to ruin each other and Harlow Lockwood was a pawn used in this war. A plan was put into motion against Sullivan Bishop. Fast forward 2 years and Harlow has stepped away from her family and is a freshman in college. The Bishop boys, Oliver, Banks and Sullivan, have followed her and they are out for revenge. This book is full of secrets, intrigue, angst and OMG steamy sexy times!! This ends in a major cliffhanger and I can't wait for the next book!!
The book had 2061 locations on my kindle. The book was about a girl named Harlow and 3 brothers, Banks, Oliver and Sullivan. Harlow was an 18 year old virgin. The Bishop brothers were rich and rivals to Harlow's family. The Boys followed Harlow to her new college in order to seek revenge. The book is told thru Harlow's POV. The book contained a bit of sex play and actual sex, oral sex near the end with M/F. My issues with this book. Harlow is a gullible, naive girl, with no back bone and common sense. She is constantly lusting after all the brothers, She is too willing to forgive, the brothers no matter the offenses. The brothers blew hot and cold throughout the entire book. The book ends on a cliffhanger. The second book comes out September 6, but I will not be buying the book. I am done.
