Wurde mir von einem Lehrbeauftragten im Studium empfohlen. Entschieden es zu kaufen habe ich mich, da ich für meine Bachelor Arbeit daraus zitieren wollte. Die Prinzipien der Animation sind sehr gut erklärt und es werden auch immer wieder Anekdoten und Tricks aus den Disney Zeichenstudios erzählt. Wenn man das Wissen über Animation nicht braucht ist es dennoch unterhaltsam und spannend zu lesen. Wen das Thema interessiert macht mit diesem Buch nichts falsch. Und es ist schön dekorativ im Regal. Der "expanded" Teil macht nicht wenig Sinn, es werden vor allem Tierbewegungen genauer erklärt.
Dieses Buch wurde mir von meinem ehemaligen Motion-Design Professor empfohlen. Als ich damals noch ein Einsteiger der Szene war, beschäftigte ich mich vor allem mit 2D-Animationen und Zeichnungen.Das Buch verspricht, was der Titel sagt: Animator's Survival Kit.Es bezieht sich auf bekannte Grundsätze und Regeln und erklärt diese gut und verständlich. Als Einsteiger ist man in der Lage sich Schritt für Schritt an das Thema heranzutasten und man lernt jedes Kapitel etwas Neues. Der Autor stellt Alles sehr verständlich und mit Hilfe von Skizzen dar. Als erfahrener Animator lohnt sich dieses Buch einfach deshalb, weil man viele Grundregeln in einem riesen Buch gesammelt hat.Beachten: Das Buch ist tatsächlich riesig! Als Taschenbuch tatsächlich nicht zu empfehlen. ;)
The Animator's Survival Kit ist ein Survival Kit der besonderen Art :)Das Buch gibt es meines Wissens nach bisher nur in Englisch. Es ist aber wundervoll in EN geschrieben mit wahnsinnig vielen Bildern und Illustrationen. Ich bin echt begeistert von diesem Buch :)
I am still reading this but so far so good! You can read the book and search for the mentioned animation movies to have a full view of the animation history. Also, the instructions are understandable and provide you a so-called step-by-step guideline to animate your own stuff. Highly recommend this, it is a must-have item for animators as well as illustrators!
Ich hatte das Buch dauerhaft aus der Bibliothek ausgeliehen und nach einem Jahr endlich mal selbst gekauft.Es ist einfach nur super erklärt und sehr sehr hilfreich. Wer sich für Animation interessiert, egal ob traditionell, Flash(o.ä.) oder 3D hier sind alle Prinzipien drin, die jeder im Hinterkopf haben sollte :)
Wir sind sehr zufrieden mit dem Buch, war für mein gedacht, er hat eine Ausbildung zum Technical Animator gemacht und kann aus dem Buch Anregungen und Hilfen bekommen. Er hat sich sehr darüber gefreut :-) Lieferung war schnell und pünktlich.
Dieses Buch ist eine fast unentbehrliche Hilfe für jeden, der sich mit Animation beschäftigt. Viele Tipps und Tricks zum Timing und Bewegungsabläufen - kann ich nur jedem empfehlen.
